#PowWow Hawaii is taking over Kakaako. 

Street artist Banksy is creating a little pre-Oscar buzz in Hollywood this week with some art/ guerrilla marketingas the 83rd Annual Academy Awards nears. Banksy’s film, “Exit Through the Gift Shop” is up for an Oscar in the Documentary Feature category even though the film may all be one giant hoax. Whether or not this anonymous artist makes an appearance at the award show remains anyone’s guess… *UPDATE via TMZ* The Mickey Mouse inspired artwork — which mysteriously appeared a few days ago — was just taken down … but no one at the scene will tell us why.We’re told employees at the gas station directly below the billboard offered to pay $10,000 for the artwork — but the billboard company refused.  Also a physical altercation just broke out over the sign — cops have responded to the scene.

The Mickey Mouse inspired artwork — which mysteriously appeared a few days ago — was just taken down … but no one at the scene will tell us why.

We’re told employees at the gas station directly below the billboard offered to pay $10,000 for the artwork — but the billboard company refused.
